Meet the designer
Anene started her fashion design career as a little girl. At age 8 she won her first fashion design competition and have been collecting prizes and acclaim throughout the years.
She started studying at the Victoria Toma Fashion school in Bloemfontein in 2000. After placing 3rd in the Victoria Toma Fashion show, she qualified for the international fashion show - Focrea de la Mode in Leige - and took home the overall silver.
She completed her studies by winning 1st place in the Victoria Toma Fashion show in 2001, as well as graduating top student of that year's class.
She did her apprenticeship under Derek of Depatry and went on to work at Suzette Exclusives and Gerit Pienaar of Claris.
She created her own label - Evelance - and started designing and distributing mother of the bride wear to the greater South Africa, while designing and making wedding dresses and evening dresses to selected clientele.
The demand for her exquisite evening dresses increased to such an extent that she decided to focus solely on making formal dresses.
In 2017, two of her dresses reached the Sarie "Matriekafskeid rok van die jaar" top ten, with both Wilke Naude and Cherise Louw's dresses being nominated. In the end there could only be one winner and the red dress she made for Cherise Louw won!
Since then her designs has graced the covers of both the Lig and Finesse magazines and her dresses has been used for feature articles within magazines like Sarie, Finesse, Lig, Wedding Inspiration and Wedding Essentials.
Today Anene Ferreira is an sought after fashion designer with an eye for beauty and a passion for creating perfection.
